Meet Kagan McLeod, the Artist Behind the She-Hulk Credit Art

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, currently streaming on Disney+, there is some arresting artwork that appears in the closing credits of each episode.

You can thank Kagan McLeod, a Toronto-based artist, for this.In a tweet posted on Thursday, August 18th, 2022, an artist reveals he’s been working with Emmy-winning Aspect Agency to create “loads of art” for the She-Hulk end credits.

Many illustrations by McLeod of She-Hulk and her alter ego, Jen Walters, played by Tatiana Maslany, appeared in the end credits sequence for the pilot episode of She-Hulk, “A Normal Amount of Rage,” which was written by Jessica Gao and directed by Kat Coiro.

Some of the photos recreated scenes from outside the courtroom, like Mark Ruffalo’s “Smart Hulk” in his hideout in Mexico, Walters using a conspiracy board to find out about Captain America’s love life, and Shulkie posing with some cosplayers.

On the other hand, there were a great number of illustrations that presented subject matter that was an excellent match for the courtroom sketch style.

These included a picture of a lawyerly She-Hulk holding a bag with an “Avengers” mug in it, as well as several pictures of She-Hulk and Walters in court together (or approaching court).

McLeod confirmed in a series of Tweeted responses to comments made in response to his announcement that the images are “intended to have the atmosphere of a courtroom.”

When asked whether or not the illustrations might eventually appear in a physical collection, McLeod responded that he didn’t know and that the assignment was “[w]ork for hire, it’s Disney art now!” He added that he didn’t know because the assignment was “[w]ork for hire; it’s Disney art now!”

Who Is Kagan McLeod?

The work that McLeod has done in the past includes other comics projects, and he isn’t the only person working on She-Hulk whose background includes comics.

Zeb Wells (Hellions, Amazing Spider-Man), and Cody Ziglar, both of whom have previous experience writing for Marvel Comics, will each be responsible for the writing of one of the later episodes of the season (ASM, Spider-Punk).

And yet another episode writer, Melissa Hunter, came up with the idea for the web series Adult Wednesday Addams. It started in 2013 and showed an adult version of the comic character Wednesday Addams, who was created by cartoonist Charles “Chas” Addams and first appeared in The Addams Family comics.

She-Hulk, the first season of which is currently available to stream on Disney+, with new episodes being made available every Thursday.

The season will consist of nine episodes, the last of which is slated to be released on Thursday, October 13th, 2022. This streaming series is the end of the fourth and last phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
